Naomi Lakritz has a B.A. in journalism from the University of Wisconsin, where she minored in French and Italian. She is a syndicated columnist, editor, proofreader and features writer who has spent her 37-year career at western Canadian newspapers. Her editing and proofreading experience includes letters to the editor, editorials and op-ed columns in her newspaper work, as well as books, think-tank research, website content and a variety of commercial and literary documents. She is the author of the e-book, Why Wasn't My Letter Published?, in which she offers tips from her many years as letters editor at a major metropolitan daily newspaper to advise people how to write stand-out letters that will be chosen for publication. Her essay, Robert's Voice, was recently published by the Peacock Journal and her short story, Mildred Mendelson, is forthcoming in the magazine Agnes and True.
